Listen to your feet

Your feet must last a lifetime: most Americans log an amazing 75,000 miles on their feet by the time they reach age 50. And there are many miles left to go beyond that milestone! You need to ensure your feet are up to the journey.

Regular foot care is essential if your feet are to carry you happily through life. With every step, you place up to 1.5 times your body weight on your heel. On average, you take about 10,000 steps every day. Let’s break that down: if you weigh 150 pounds, you put 225 pounds of force on your feet with every step.

To perform well under these punishing conditions, your feet should be treated with a little respect and given regular attention.
